A lot of the new LCD models in 2010 will feature LED backlights and some models will have backlit LED with local dimming. That does not mean that the models will be thick and bulky because the new models combines a slim profile with backlit LED and local dimming which is quite unique.
LG also has Edge LED models coming. The new Edge LED backlights will have limited local dimming as well with 8-12 local dimming zones.
LG EL9500 OLED-TV
LG believes that 3D will be big this year and they want to release both passive 3DTVs (with polarized glasses) and active 3DTVs (with shutter glasses).

LG also mentions a Wireless AV Link. This means that you can transmit video and audio wirelessly from a box to your TV. Other LG products will support the Wireless AV Link as well such as the new Blu-Ray players.
Some models incorporate Wireless AV Link – on other models it can be mounted at the back using Velcro.

LG has also developed a new 400 Hz technology. The new 400 Hz system is a 200 Hz frame interpolating tech and scanning backlights. 200 Hz on LG's new TVs means that a 100 Hz system has been incorporated together with scanning backlights.
Finally LG has incorporated a THX profile in some set. In 2010 some of the LCD/LED models will feature a THX profile as well. In 2009 only the LG plasma TVs utilized the THX profile. The new plasma TVs will feature a TruBlack filter, too, improving black reproduction.
