LG is gearing up for some big product announcements at CES 2011 and to keep you interested LG has sent out a teaser about a new 72-inch flat panel TV to be called 72LZ9700.
The 72LZ9700 handles 2D and 3D with a 400 Hz circuit. The model is based on a LCD-panel with LED and local dimming. Local dimming means that the LED backlight unit is controllable in zones which enables LG to boost contrast and black level reproduction.
Naturally, LG has incorporated a range of multimedia features such as Internet, DLNA, and USB. The TV also comes bundled with the Wii-like LG Magic Motion Remote Control. 72LZ9700 seems to be the final version of the LEX9 model that LG exhibited as an early prototype at IFA 2010 in Berlin.
LG 72LZ9700 will be showcased at CES 2011. The product is expected to hit the US market early next year but we have no offcial price yet.
