Samsung will release new LED and plasma TVs, as well as its first Ultra HD TVs. Samsung’s OLED-TV could be released in 2013. 2013 is all about Smart TV and new smarter features but Samsung also promises improvements to picture quality.
LG has a massive line-up of TVs in 2013. The Smart TV features will be expanded to even more TVs and LG will release its first OLED and Ultra HD TVs, along with new LED and plasma TVs. Some of the new Smart TV features include Miracast and NFC.

LG also launching LW5600; inexpensive 3D range

We talked about the LG LW6500 a few days ago. LW6500 is based on LG’s Cinema 3D – or passive 3D technology – that uses the much cheaper polarized 3D glasses. LG has announced that besides the LW6500, they are also planning to release an inexpensive LW5600 range with passive 3D.

Cinema 3D – or passive 3D – has been introduced by LG at CES 2011. The Cinema 3D technology utilizes much cheaper polarized 3D glasses that are flicker-free and has lower crosstalk. LG also points out that the 3D glasses are lighter, thinner and requires no batteries.

The new inexpensive LW5600 range comes bundled with 4 pairs of 3D glasses and more will be available at less than 20 US dollars. The TV also comes with the Magic Wand remote and the Smart TV internet interface.

    LG LW550W will be available in 47 and 55 inches called 47LW5600 and 55LW5600.

    Pricing and Availability

    The LW6500 and LW5600 ranges will premiere at CES 2011 in Las Vegas and will be available in May 2011. Prices have not yet been revealed.
