Voice Control for LG’s Smart TVs
Voice control was one of the new features of LG’s 2012 Smart TV and will allow users to search for TV content using their voice.
Voice control is coming to LG’s Smart TVs later this month
Voice is registered via the The Magic Motion remote that has a built-in microphone, besides its motion control capabilities. LG’s voice system is powered by Nuance that is widely used in voice recognition software today.
LG has also released this video demonstration of the technology.
All of LG’s high-end Smart TVs shipped after April will have the voice control capabilities activated by default. If you have already bought your new LG Smart TV – or will buy one in the coming weeks - you will receive the voice control system with a firmware update by the end of the month.
