Samsung will release new LED and plasma TVs, as well as its first Ultra HD TVs. Samsung’s OLED-TV could be released in 2013. 2013 is all about Smart TV and new smarter features but Samsung also promises improvements to picture quality.
LG has a massive line-up of TVs in 2013. The Smart TV features will be expanded to even more TVs and LG will release its first OLED and Ultra HD TVs, along with new LED and plasma TVs. Some of the new Smart TV features include Miracast and NFC.

LG introduces new IPS7 monitors with MHL

LG has launched two new 1080p IPS monitors in 23 and 27 inch variants, with a slim frame design and MHL support that allows users to connect smartphones and tablets. The new range of monitors is called IPS7.

LG continues to pump out IPS monitors and we are glad to observe that the inferior TN panels are on their way out. LG’s new monitors are called IPS7 and come with IPS panels, aimed at photographers and discerning users.

Two variants will be available in 23 and 27 inches, respectively. LG boasts its Cinema Screen design with a very slim bezel of just 1.2 mm and a frame depth of just 14.1 mm. The metallic stand also ensures stability.

Users can connect the IPS7 monitors to a PC with HDMI or to a smartphone / tablet with MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link). The panels are capable of showing Full HD (1920x1080) resolution and have a 5 ms (g2g) response time, adequate for movies, editing and most gaming. LG also says that the monitors come pre-calibrated from the factory.

LG IPS237L and IPS277L will be available soon. Pricing details have not been announced.
