Samsung will release new LED and plasma TVs, as well as its first Ultra HD TVs. Samsung’s OLED-TV could be released in 2013. 2013 is all about Smart TV and new smarter features but Samsung also promises improvements to picture quality.
LG has a massive line-up of TVs in 2013. The Smart TV features will be expanded to even more TVs and LG will release its first OLED and Ultra HD TVs, along with new LED and plasma TVs. Some of the new Smart TV features include Miracast and NFC.

Dell's 27" U2713HM goes official with AH-IPS panel

A few days ago we reported that details about a new 27-inch Dell U2713HM had leaked. Today Dell has officially revealed the new U2713HM with an AH-IPS panel and 2560x1440 pixel resolution.

Dell has officially unveiled their 27-inch UltraSharp monitor, dubbed U2713HM. The AH-IPS based monitor comes with LED backlighting, 2560x1440 pixel resolution, 8 ms (g2g) response time and 1000:1 contrast ratio. It is said to be more energy-friendly than previous IPS monitors.

Dell U2713HM is color calibrated from the factory and includes a sRGB color profile aimed at photographers and designers working with sRGB equipment. The monitor can be connected to a PC using DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort or D-SUB (VGA). The design is largely unchanged but has some silver areas on the sides and on the base. Also, notice the built-in USB ports on the side of the monitor. 4 USB ports are included in total.

The panel is matte and the stand offers tilt, height, swivel and pivot adjustments.

Dell U2713HM is not yet available in the US or UK but is detailed on the Australian website here. In Australia it costs 799 AUD. No words on pricing outside Australia yet but we will keep you updated.
