A new app has debuted on the Xbox – and it has been awaited with patience. WatchEPSN is now available with access to the ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN3 and ESPN Goal Line / Buzzer Beater channels – but only for Xbox Gold members.

Owners of Microsoft’s Xbox can now watch their favorite sports events directly over the internet on the big TV screen. WatchEPSN obviously still require the service from a cable operator but the move is exciting.

The new apps has some cool features, including a split screen feature, game reminders, Kinect controls, a personalized “My Sports” section and other small details. Microsoft will also expand the dual-screen experience to tablets and smartphones via SmartGlass this December.
The full service also requires an Xbox Gold membership but the ESPN 3 channel can be streamed without the full ESPN cable package. Go try it out now.
