LG continues to update its motion-based Magic Remote. At CES 2013 LG will exhibit the latest version with enhanced voice recognition and control. It has also been redesigned.

LG says that they focus on four control options: voice, gesture, point, and wheel. The new remote will take the voice element to the next level, LG promises, with “natural language recognition” instead of just voice commands.

The new Magic Remote has also been redesigned but the shape is largely intact. Besides the design, LG has expanded the control options. It now controls Smart TVs, set-top boxes, soundbars and Blu-ray players. The remote also features backlit buttons for easier operation in the dark.

The new Magic Remote will ship with LG’s premium Smart TVs. The cheaper Smart TV models will come with a standard version.
