Samsung to present 32" 4K PC monitor at IFA

The IFA show will start next week, and Samsung will be bringing its first PC monitor with 4K resolution. Samsung hopes to appeal to graphic designers, photographers, and people working with video.

Samsung’s first 32" 4K PC monitor

Samsung is certainly not the first display maker to unveil a 4K monitor, as Sharp, Asus, and Dell have already announced 4K monitors. However, we hope that Samsung’s monitor can help reduce prices on 4K monitors that are quite expensive right now.

At IFA, Samsung will demonstrate how it can build 4K video walls with slim-bezel LCD panels

Samsung’s monitor has a 31.5-inch LCD panel with 3840x2160 pixel resolution. The panel supports sRGB and AdobeRGB (99%), and has been pre-calibrated from the factory. It will also offer advanced picture calibration options.

Samsung hopes to appeal to professional users who are working in the graphics, video or photography fields. We expect more details and photos to emerge when IFA 2013 starts next week. Samsung says that they will also demonstrate how they can create a 98-inch 4K video wall from thin-bezel LCD panels at IFA.
