Spotify has arrived on several Smart TVs lately (1, 2) and LG is the latest to join the party. The Spotify app is now available on LG’s 2013 Smart TVs, and the popular Skylanders game is also launching on LG Smart TV in select countries.

Spotify has been available on some of LG’s Blu-ray and home theatre products for a while, but the popular music streaming service with over 20 million tracks is now also available as an app for LG’s 2013 Smart TVs. The app can be controlled with LG’s motion remote.

LG has also partnered with the team behind the popular Skylanders Battlegrounds game for children. Skylanders is available as an app, but an additional starter kit is required to play. Existing Skylander characters can be used.

Despite rolling out a new free subscription option last week, the Spotify app on LG Smart TV requires a Spotify Premium subscription.
