Showtime has launched
You no longer need a cable subscription to watch Showtime’s shows. Just download the app and start watching what you want, where you want, and when you want. That is the promise and as a stand-alone service Showtime will have to compete with Netflix and HBO.
You can watch Showtime shows such as Ray Donovan, Homeland, House of Lies, The Affair, Dexter, and Californication on the big screen by accessing it from your Apple TV or Roku box. The service is also available on PC/Mac and as an app for iPhone and iPad. Android is not yet supported. Interestingly, it is also offered through other services such as Hulu and PlayStation Vue.
Showtime is offering a free 30-day trial so check it out at showtime.com. After your trial ends, Showtime will cost $10.99 per month.
