HBO Now has launched on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Samsung’s Smart TVs. Xbox owners can watch the new Game of Thrones episode for free.

HBO Now expands
HBO Now was launched a year ago as a stand-alone streaming service and a response to Netflix. Back then, only a handful of devices were supported.

Timed to coincide with the release of the new season of Game of Thrones, HBO has launched new apps for Xbox One and Xbox 360. HBO says that all Xbox users will be able to watch the first episode from season 6 free of charge from April 25 to 28. You will not need a HBO subscription.


HBO Now is still not available on PlayStation.

The app has also just launched on Samsung’s Smart TVs, confirms HBO. Besides that, HBO Now was already available on Apple TV, iOS, Android, Roku, Google Chromecast, and Amazon Fire TV.

HBO's stand-alone subscription service costs $15 per month.
