Affordable Roku HD TVs
Last year, a range of Android TVs were announced under the classic RCA TV brand but after having reorganized the licensee structure you can now expect to find the RCA badge on Roku TVs.
These are low-cost HD TVs without all the bells and whistles, designed to give viewers access to the Roku TV platform. The TVs include a TV tuner for over-the-air TV channels along with Roku’s “Live TV Pause” functionality. They also offer full catalog of apps, including Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and HBO.
Roku boasts that its platform offers over 5000 and recently announced 15 million monthly active users in the US. It is, according to the company, the number 1 TV streaming platform “as measured by total hours streamed”. That is notable because Roku is up against colossi such as Apple’s tvOS, Google’s Android TV, and Amazon’s Fire TV.
