Microsoft has shared a list of games that will be available to play in 4K and/or HDR on Xbox One X. The list includes titles such as Assassin’s Creed Origins, Forza Motorsport 7, and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

4K HDR games for Xbox One X
HDR or High Dynamic Range is one of the most exciting developments in the gaming space in many years. It can make games look far more realistic or intense through an expanded luminance range and a visibly larger color gamut – at least if you own a good HDR TV.
Xbox One X will support both 4K resolution and HDR when it launches in less than two weeks from now. The previous Xbox One S supported only HDR for games.
Microsoft has for some time been touting its ‘Xbox One X enhanced’ logo but this does not guarantee that the game runs in 4K resolution or HDR. To be clear, not even the 4K logo guarantees native 4K resolution as the logo also covers various means of upscaling from lower resolution.
Microsoft and developers have now confirmed 48 games that will be available in 4K, and 39 games that will be available in HDR. Some of the titles overlap as many titles are available in both 4K and HDR.
Highlights include Assassin’s Creed Origins, FIFA 18, F1 2017, Forza Motorsport 7, Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, and Rise of the Tomb Raider. We have included a full list below.
