Sony is releasing a new EX710 series that will replace the current EX700 series. No huge updates have been made but the 52-inch version of the EX700 will be no more and instead Sony will release a 55 inch version of the EX710. The design has also been updated and Sony will also release a gigantic 60-inch version of the EX710.

Sony EX710 is already available in some sizes in for example France and Sony has confirmed that the EX710 series will be available in other countries starting from August/September. The EX700 series will be discontinued even though it has only been available for a very short time.

EX710 looks like EX700 when you compare the technical specifications except for the energy consumption that is higher on EX710. But EX710 has received a facelift and you can expect a more minimalistic and streamlined design with a more discreet bezel.
Some people believe that the EX700 series has been discontinued because Sharp cannot deliver the required amount of panels and therefore the EX710 will incorporate Samsung panels instead.

EX710 will be released in 32, 40, 46, 55 and 60 inches called 32EX710, 40EX710, 46EX710, 55EX710 and 60EX710. The only difference is that a 55-inch version will replace the 52-inch version from the now old EX700 series.

Expect to see EX710 in stores by the end of August in sizes 40 inches and below, and 46+ inches in September/October.
