Why 24fps is not enough for HDR movies

We have asked TCL for an update and they have informed us that the Android Oreo update has been delayed until January. This is due to some issues with instability. The plan is still to update all TCL Android TV models.

The download file may be available a little earlier.

MediaTek is just a total mess. They still use a 3.10 kernel on Oreo. It is basically a hack to bring Oreo on those old chipsets.

I'm facing issues after I updated to Android 8 Oreo (I have Philips 55PUS6412/12).

The sources menu doesn't have the HDMI's now. Whenever I try to reinstall the software via USB, I get this error: "cannot mount fs_type rootfs". Did anyone have the same after the updates? Thanks.
