@FlatpanelsHD: Can you please fix that? Clarification: It's the "Questions & debate in the forums" link at the bottom of the A1E review (i.e. http://www.flatpanelshd.com/review.php? ... 1492757435 ) that incorrectly links to the X93E discussion instead of the A1E discussion.
Fixed. My mistake. Sorry about that.

I have a feeling that this is going to be one hard TV to beat . I hope this A1E have the DV capability from the VUDU/Netflix apps when it's released. I may stage my A1E in another part of the house and ensure all of the HDR apps/features are in place to cover what the G6 is doing now before swapping it.

It's mind-blowing to me how its been reported already that the 2017 OLED panels are showing a bump in performance from the 2016 models.

Yes, that is one thing to still consider. Sony has not yet commented on the specifics of Dolby Vision. We are chasing more information on the matter.

Rasmus,

You had previously mentioned that you did not test this TV wall mounted.
However, I am looking for a TV to wall mount in my bedroom and have the following questions which I was wondering if you can speak to since you have it in your possession and have comprehensively tested it.
Does the TV come with a wall mounting kit and instructions from Sony or is that a separate purchase?
If so, would the screen be "floating" in front of the wall with a 4"-5" space between it and the wall due to the thickness of the kickstand unit /bass speaker?
Will the bass speaker sound muffled because it is now sandwiched between the rear of the screen and the wall?
I would think that a lot of potential customers would want to wall mount this TV.
Thanks

We no longer have the TV, but it doesn't come with any wall bracket. This you have to buy yourself.

Yes, the TV will be spaced the distance of the "box" on the back from the wall. The setup of the TV allows for compensating the subwoofer if you choose "Wall mounted" in the setup process.

Thanks for another great review.

Could you compare the sound of the built-in sound system of the A1 vs. the LG E6? Is it more or less the same, or is one better than the other?

As you may know Sony has started rolling out the Dolby Vision update in the US. However, it doesn't currently work over HDMI as it will also require external players to be updated to a new Dolby Vision profile. These updates are still pending.

Sony has also just delayed the roll-out of the DV firmware in Europe:
