Introducing the TV Database

18 Sep 2020 | Flatpanels |

FlatpanelsHD is introducing the TV Database (beta) to help you navigate the TV jungle. Set filters to find TV models that fit your needs, compare TVs, and see full specifications. And a lot more to come.

TV Database

Buying a new TV can be hard – even after research. We have designed the TV Database as a tool to help you find TVs that fit your needs, with filters on the main search page. Examples:
  • 4K TVs with HDMI 2.1 and VRR
  • TVs with support for both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision
  • 8K TVs over 75 inches
  • LCD TVs with FALD
  • OLED TVs with Android TV Go to: TV database The list on the main search page will automatically refresh every time you select a filter. We will continue to add new TV models and new filters as the TV market evolves, as well as other capabilities.

    TV Database: Compare tool

With the list of TVs that fit your needs, you can select specific TV models to compare features and specifications with the compare button. Go to: TV database You can compare up to five TV models at once.

    TV Database: Product pages

Each TV model has its own product page where you can find much more information about video/audio specifications, features, pricing and availability, and related articles or reviews. Example: LG CX Example: Sony X900H / XH90 Click on to learn more about a specific feature.

    TV Database: Cross-integration

The TV Database is already powering FlatpanelsHD's comprehensive TV line-up overviews as well as other outputs in articles. For example, our guide to HDMI ARC/eARC now includes an up-to-date list of TVs with eARC support. Expect to see many more relevant outputs, lists, and cross-integrations across FlatpanelsHD – all powered by the TV Database. We will also expand the TV Database to include even more data in the near future. We are launching the TV Database in beta because there is still work to do. Help us fine-tune it by providing feedback or corrections. Each product page also has its own dedicated comments section that lets you post comments or questions specific to this TV model. We hope you like it! Please help us spread the word, and subscribe to our newsletter, Facebook, twitter and RSS to receive regular updates from FlatpanelsHD.
