Philips releases 4 Blu-Ray players

The High-Definition battle is over and Blu-Ray has won. Philips therefore releases this new series of 4 Blu-Ray players; betting on the new format. Philips has announced 4 Blu-Ray players for the European market. The models are called BDP9100, BDP7300, BDP5000 and BDP3000.

The BDP9100 player supports the 21:9 format, that Philips’ new Cinema 21:9 Tv utilizes, as well as a feature that can move the subtitles up into the picture.
BDP9100 also upscales DVD movies to 1080p resolution.

The new Blu-Ray players support BD Live as well as allowing the users to connect to the Internet for bonus-material, trailers, games and software updates. The BDP9100 has a 1 GB memory integrated, too.

The players are expected to hit stores soon. No prices have been released.
