Asus is relatively new in the image industry, but they have several interesting PC monitors on the market. Their portfolio is now being extended with the new Designo MS series which launches in a unique design with a thin profile. We have received the 23-inch MS236 for a review.
Asus Designo
Asus presents their new Designo MS series, which has a thin profile of 16.5 mm. The new Designo range from Asus has a black, glossy front and a rather unique and different footing.

The back of the frame has a white look and the ring stand has a built-in tilt function. By pushing the screen gently with your finger you can change the tilt position.
Different sizes
Asus’ Designo launches in 20, 22, 21.5, 23 and 23.6 inches called MS202N, MS227N, MS226H, MS236H, and MS246H.
All variants feature the same design but there are some technical differences.

Technical Specifications
The three largest models MS226H, MS236H and MS246H incorporates Full HD panels (1920x1080) and HDMI, DVI and D-SUB (VGA) connections.
The two smaller models incorporates a lower resolution and features DVI and D-SUB connector – no HDMI.
All models have a specified response time of 2 ms (g2g) except MS2020N at 20 inches which is a slower 5 ms model. Other technical features are: dynamic contrast ratio of 50.000:1, brightness of 250 cd/m2 and viewing angles of 170 / 160 degrees. All monitors feature TN panels.

Asus has also incorporated the Splendid Video picture processor in “order to improve image quality”.
