The Cell processor enables a very powerful image circuit and makes the TV able to incorporate a sophisticated LED system with local dimming.

The Cell processor manages the picture optimization and picture circuits, as well as providing Toshiba with the option to update the TV later on. Toshiba mentions that the Cell processor is about 143 times more powerful than a conventional flat panel TV.

Toshiba Cell Regza, 55X1

Toshiba ZX900 also has an impressive portfolio of technical features, and the most impressive must be the built-in 1 Terabyte hard drive that can be used to record and put live television broadcasts on pause.

ZX900 will also feature a 480 Hz system that makes motion on the screen even smoother. You will also find a built-in Blu-Ray player and a NET TV function that gives access to the internet and internet content such as YouTube, Netflix, VUDU, CinemaNow, and Pandora.

Toshiba has also found room for Wi-Fi and the Wireless HD system that lets you transfers HD video directly to the screen.
