We already told you guys about the new PA-series from NEC with 23-inch to 30-inch IPS panels. It seems that the 24-inch PA241W model will be the first one to hit the market at a suggested price of $1079.

PA241W is the new 24-inch IPS based monitor from NEC. It has 16:10 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels.


The new PA series is designed for discerning users as well as professional users that works with graphic design, video editing, photographers etc.


PA241W has a 10-bit IPS panel with an internal 14-bit 3D-LUT (look-up table). Contrast ratio is specified at 1000:1 and the panel has a 102 % NTSC colour gamut (or 99.3 % Adobe RGB gamut). Brightness is 360 cd/m2, and the monitor has a 8 ms response time as well as 178-degree viewing angles.

NEC is available very soon at a suggested price of $1079. This includes a 4-year warranty. PA241W has USB hub and DisplayPort, too.


The PA series comes in four models from 23 to 30 inches, all featuring the IPS technology:
  • 23-inch PA231W: 16:9 display with 1920x1080 resolution
  • 24-inch PA241W: 16:10 display with 1920x1200 resolution
  • 27-inch PA271W: 16:9 display with 2560x1440 resolution
  • 30-inch PA301W: 16:10 display with 2560x1600 resolution
