Sony HX800 is Sony’s lower priced 3DTV that has started shipping together with the release of the PlayStation 3 3D update.

HX800 has an Edge LED backlight and a thin profile. It also has a 200/240 Hz Motionflow picture circuit and the Sony Internet TV features. To utilize 3D on HX800 you need to acquire a separate IR transmitter and separate 3D glasses.

HX800 is Sony’s first 3DTV and it’s now shipping. It’s actually cheaper than Sony announced earlier this year and Amazon has pricing on the 46 and 55 inches here (46”) and here (55”).

Sony will release the HX900 and LX900, too. Read more about all of the new Sony 2010 models here.

We hope to review the first Sony 3DTV soon.
