A few days ago we reported that Dell has a U3011 coming. U3011 is a new 30-inch monitor from Dell with 2560x1600 resolution. Now we have received some further details on the specifications and functionality, as well as a release date.
Dell U3011 will become the new flagship from Dell. We already gave you a lot of information in this article and here’s some more along with a launch date.
Dell U3011 specs:
16:10 aspect ratio
7 ms (g2g) response time
1000:1 static contrast ratio
Gamut: 99% AdobeRGB, 100% sRGB
370 cd/m2 brightness
12 bit internal LUT (look-up table)
10 bit panel (probably 8bit + frame rate control, FRC)

It’s also reported that Dell U3011 will have height, tilt and swivel adjustments but no pivot. The buttons are capacitive touch buttons in the lower, right corner of the frame. We still haven’t received any product photos.
Late September release
The first release date that was suggested was late October but sources now say that Dell U3011 could hit the market as soon as 21 September 2010. The price is still unknown. Dell’s current 30-inch monitor costs 1,599 US dollars / 1,575 UK pounds.
Dell also has a driver online for U3011 which pretty much confirms that U3011 is close to launce.
