Some time ago Sony and Google announced that they had entered into an agreement to release Sony flat panel TVs with the internet platform from Google called Google TV (or Android). Sony has now announced that the new products will be unveiled on October 12.

We have mentioned Google's new internet platform for flat panel TVs called Google TV earlier. Sony was the first to announce their plans to release a new flat panel TV in collaboration with Google and Swedish People of Lava has also announced a TV with the Google platform.

Sony has not yet revealed any details yet but has sent out invitations to the US presentation of Sony's new flat screen TV that will be named NSX-46GT1. You can also expect a new Blu-ray player from Sony with the Google TV platform.
