NEC EX231W launched in new Office Cool range

NEC has announced a new range of their MultiSync monitors in an “Office Cool” EX range with focus on slim design and energy consumption. The new 23-inch EX231W with LED is part of the Office Cool line-up.

NEC Office Cool

NEC has presented their new Office Cool monitors and the first one to be introduced is the 23-inch EX231W with LED and a fresh design. NEC aims to please home and office users with minimalistic design and ergonomic features, as well as low energy consumption.


The monitor is built in a minimalistic design with a glossy frame in a slim cabinet. It comes in both black and white. The stand allows users to adjust the monitor with the help of height, tilt, swivel and pivot adjustments.

Additionally NEC has integrated a human sensor that turns of the monitor when no persons are using it. When a person returns, the screen automatically turns back on. EX231W also features a ambient light sensor that adjusts backlight on the panel according to surroundings.


The 23-inch NEC MultiSync EX231W has a 1920x1080 resolution and a 5 ms response time. The monitor also has a 1000:1 contrast ratio (25.000:1 dynamic) and 250 cd/m2 brightness. EX231 has a TN panel and comes with DVI and DisplayPort inputs.

NEC EX231W is in stores very soon and will cost $399.
