Oppo has launched their new flagship Blu-ray player, BDP-95. The BDP-95 aims to please audiophiles with its 7.1 analog audio outputs and a new ESS Sabre32 digital-to-analog converter.
BDP-95 is the new flagship with 3D from Oppo, and the bigger brother to the forthcoming Oppo BDP-93.
With BDP-95 Oppo has taken a dedicated sound quality approach to things. Oppo has incorporating a so-called ESS Sabre32 DAC (digital to analog converter) to output analog sound via the 7.1 surround analog outputs. Naturally, you can also output music through the HDMI, optical or coaxial outputs on BDP-95. The high quality Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio formats are supported.
Oppo says that the new Blu-ray player has a stronger and more robust linear power supply with toroidal transformer to ensure zero noise or jitter. The analog outputs have also been balanced to ensure optimal performance. And If you want to playback DVD-Audio or SACD, you can.
Picture quality is delivered in Full HD from Blu-ray discs and in upconverted Full HD from DVDs. BDP-95 also supports 3D Blu-ray playback and has internet services such as Blockbuster on Demand and Netflix.
Oppo BDP-95 will be available from February-March 2011. No prices yet.
