Sherwood’s new 2D and 3D Blu-ray player has Full HD picture quality and support for DTS HD Master, Dolby Digital True HD, Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus. The 192K/24-bit digital-to-analog convertors should also ensure high-quality audio through the analog outputs.

The player has a HDMI 1.4 output that supports 3D output for 3D displays, as well as Audio Return Channel (ARC). Conventional audio interfaces can be made through its coaxial and optical digital audio outputs.

BDS-876 supports Blu-ray Profile 2.0 and BD-Live but is also Sherwood's first to support streaming of HD and SD content via the internet, but the complete list of internet sources have not been announced. DLNA and DivX is also supported.

Sherwood says that the BDP-876 is scheduled for release in July 2011 at an MSRP of $399.95 (including 3 years warranty).
