Asus has announced a new 27-inch 120 Hz and 3D capable monitor at CeBIT 2011 in Hannover. The monitor is called VG278H and should interest gaming enthusiasts.

At the CeBIT 2011 fair Asus has announced a new gamer monitor called VG278H. The monitor supports the faster 120 Hz refresh rate that improves gaming performance. It also supports 3D with Nvidias 3D Vision set and glasses.

Asus VG278H comes with a LED based TN panel with 1920x1080 resolution. It has a 2 ms (g2g) response time and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Brightness is 400 cd/m2 and the viewing angles are 170/160 degrees. Connectivity includes HDMI, DVI and D-SUB (VGA).

No official information regarding release date and price has been released at this point. We await an update from Asus.
