Philips has the cure for impatient children. With their new portable TV with Blu-ray player Philips offers a travel companion for the car, holiday home or anywhere else. If connected to a television in the home it also serves as a Full HD Blu-ray player.

Philips has launched a new portable TV with built-in Blu-ray player called PB9001.

Inside the box Philips has integrated a 800x480 pixel LCD screen as well as integrated speakers. If you want to plug in headphones this is possible via the headphone jack and Philips has also integrated a HDMI output for connecting the portable Blu-ray player to a living room TV. 1080p is supported as well.

The player naturally comes with a rechargeable batteries with up to three hour battery time when watching movies, Philips claims. The 9-inch LCD screen has a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and the player also comes with USB and a power adaptor for cars.

Philips PB9001 will be in stores soon. The suggested retail price is around 400 Euro. For further information see www.philips. com
