SID 2011 coverage & the future of display technology

23 May 2011 | Rasmus Larsen |

Last week Los Angeles hosted the SID 2011 exhibition. SID is all about new display technology and not so much about real products. 2011 is no exception and at SID we always expect to see the new hot trends in display technology. That is why we have created a SID 2011 coverage page.

SID 2011 coverage

At the SID 2011 exhibition display panel manufacturers such as Samsung, LG and Toshiba demonstrate their next generation display technologies.

Last week FlatpanelsHD reported about the latest developments from SID and we will continue to tell you more about the Los Angeles show this week. Until now we have seen that manufacturers are particularly focused around high resolution displays and OLED technology.

You can read more about new screens such as Samsung’s 10-inch LCD with 2560x1600 resolution and Sharp's 85-inch TV with 7680x4320 resolution.

See all the SID 2011 articles on FlatpanelsHD’s front page or visit our SID 2011 coverage page here.
