FlatpanelsHD introduced Samsung’s Explore 3D App for Samsung’s Smart TVs last week and the free App is now available to US customers.

Samsung started to roll out the App in Korea back in March and in the UK last week. Samsung is now releasing their Explore 3D App with free 3D content in the US.

The app allows users to stream 3D content to their TV over the internet. At the moment content is free but Samsung plants to expend with paid content later this year.

It is expected that Samsung wants to offer full-length 3D movies from major studies, with Dreamworks being one of the partners. Samsung plans to make movies, music videos, children’s classics, documentaries and trailers available in 3D.

Check into the Smart TV interface on your Samsung TV, or via Smart Hub on your connected Samsung device, to check out the new Explore 3D App.
