Philips’ NET TV platform has a new video-on-demand service. Philips has inked a deal to bring Videociety's movie rental App, that offers all movies in HD, to Philips' 2010 and 2011 NET TVs in Germany or Austria.

Philips has announced a new movie rental partner for their 2010 and 2011 NET TVs. Through the new Videociety App Philips owners can rent HD movies with 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound.

Videociety is only available in Germany and Austria but they hope to expand to more European countries in the future.
