LG has started to incorporate Cinema 3D in most of their TVs and monitors. The next PC monitor to benefit from LG’s passive 3D technology with cheap polarized 3D glasses is the D237IPS.

Cinema 3D has slightly lower 3D resolution than active 3D systems but comes with advantages such as no crosstalk, no flicker and cheap/light-weight/no-batteries 3D glasses that help reduce eye strain. LG boasts a 3D brightness of 100 cd/m2. A 2D-to-3D conversion function has been incorporated as well.

LG D237IPS features an IPS panel for improved picture quality and color accuracy. The IPS panel also has much wider viewing angles than typical 3D monitors based on cheap TN panels.
LG D237IPS will be unveiled at IFA 2011 in a few days in a 23 inch variant (and possibly other screen sizes).
