Zero1.tv talked about their Voomote One remote earlier this year. At IFA they have introduced the thinner Voomote Zapper that turns Apple iOS devices such as iPod, iPhone and iPad into universal remote controls for home electronics.

Voomote Zapper is a small device - about the size of a paper clip – that can be mounted to the bottom of an iPhone, iPod or iPad. All you need from here is the free App.

Voomote Zapper is based on infrared and works with pretty much any HDTV, DVD player, Blu-ray player or the like.

The App can be modified to fit the users needs and macros can be created allowing users to create for example on Off-button that turns off all devices in the living room. The App also supports categorizing of buttons based on rooms, and users can even get access to a simple and intuitive TV guide.

Voomote Zapper will be available in the US and Europe in mid-October. The suggested retail price is 70 USD.
