IFA 2011 is over and we have returned home with a lot to tell you more about in the coming months. In this article we round off and bring you the highlights from this years’ IFA fair. We also award the “Best in Show” product.

IFA 2011 - Best in Show
IFA 2011 was an eventful show, but manufacturers did not launch many new big products. These will be introduced at CES 2012 in Las Vegas in January, instead. Last year we awarded LG’s 31” OLED-TV the "Best in Show" product. This year's "Best in Show" award goes to:

Sharp’s 85-inch 8Kx4K TV is jaw-droppingly impressive

We had a few other candidates, but in the absence of new products we have no doubt that Sharp’s 85-inch TV with 7680x3420 pixel resolution deserves the Best in Show award. Sharp did little to promote their TV but it received its share of attention on the exhibition floors. Picture quality was amazing – you need to see it to believe it.

Read more about Sharp's 8Kx4K TV here:

Sharp's 85" 8Kx4K TV is jaw-droppingly impressive

Highlights from IFA 2011
The organizers seem pleased with their endeavours this year. A total of 1441 exhibitors (1% more than in 2010) joined IFA 2011, and the fair was visited by 238,000 visitors (3% more than in 2010).

Below you find the highlights from IFA 2011.

LG Nano LW980T

Philips Cinema 21:9 Platinum

Samsung 60” D8000

Glasses-free 55” 3DTV from Toshiba

Philips DesignLine TVs

Sony’s 3D helmet

Common 3D glasses standard

Samsung tablets with OLED panels

Hands-on with Google TV 2.0

See all articles from IFA 2011 here.

See you next year.
