Apple revealed their new 27-inch LED Cinema Display back in July 2011 with a release date â€świthin 60 daysâ€ť. The Thunderbolt-equipped monitor is now shipping and the first customers have received their parcel.

The new 27â€ť LED Cinema Display is the first monitor to support Thunderbolt, which allow users to daisy-chain monitors with a serial connection between a Mac and 2 monitors (Macbook Air only supports 1 monitor).

The monitor comes with IPS panel, LED backlight, built-in FaceTime HD video camera, 2560x1440 resolution, a 2.1 speaker system, an integrated MagSafe charger, three USB 3.0 ports, one Firewire 800 port, one Gigabit Ethernet port and a Thunderbolt port for daisy chaining up to five additional Thunderbolt devices.
Appleâ€™s 27â€ť monitor is now available in Apple stores and websites. It is also available from Amazon US. The monitor requires a Macbook or iMac with Thunderbolt.
