Apple revealed their new 27-inch LED Cinema Display back in <a href=http://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1311243146 target=_blank><b>July 2011</b></a> with a release date “within 60 days”. The Thunderbolt-equipped monitor is now shipping and the first customers have received their parcel.<br /><br /><h3>Apple 27” monitor with Thunderbolt shipping</h3>The new 27” LED Cinema Display is the first monitor to support Thunderbolt, which allow users to daisy-chain monitors with a serial connection between a Mac and 2 monitors (Macbook Air only supports 1 monitor).<br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/appleledcinema2011-1l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/appleledcinema2011-1.jpg" alt="Apple 27” LED Cinema Display with Thunderbolt" title="Click to enlarge" /></a><br><i>Apple 27” LED Cinema Display with Thunderbolt</i></p><br />The monitor comes with IPS panel, LED backlight, built-in FaceTime HD video camera, 2560x1440 resolution, a 2.1 speaker system, an integrated MagSafe charger, three USB 3.0 ports, one Firewire 800 port, one Gigabit Ethernet port and a Thunderbolt port for daisy chaining up to five additional Thunderbolt devices.<br /><br />Apple’s 27” monitor is now available in Apple stores and <a href=http://www.apple.com target=_blank><b>websites</b></a>.
