Roku has been fairly successful with their streaming boxes. Now a new cheaper version in purple design has been announced. It costs just 50$ and comes with Netflix, HBO Go as well as other streaming options.

Roku is one of the few real alternatives to Apple TV and the Roku-path just got cheaper with the new Roku LT model that costs only 50$.

The streaming box comes with Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon, Pandora, and HBO Go access. Roku also plans to add more streaming option in the future. To save costs Roku has excluded Bluetooth and the SD card reader.

The new Roku LT has built-in WiFi but output is limited to 720p just like Apple TV.

Roku LT will be available in early November from www.roku.com and www.amazon.com
