Netflix’s rumored UK launch has now been confirmed in a press release. Netflix will expand to UK and Ireland in “early 2012”. Pricing remains an open question but Netflix promises a “low monthly subscription price”.

Netflix has confirmed that they will be launching their video streaming services in the UK and Ireland. The move comes shortly after Netflix's launch in Latin Ameria.

Netflix is very popular in the US with more than 20 million paying customers. Some users are on a DVD rental plan but most of the customers are internet streaming users. US citizens have access to a range of TV shows and Hollywood movies, and Netflix recently announced a partnership with Dreamworks.

Netflix has not given details about content deals in the UK/Ireland but expect to hear more soon.
