The Chinese electronics manufacturer, Lenovo, is planning to enter the Smart TV market in the first quarter of 2012. Details are spare but Lenovo says that their coming TV will be dubbed LeTV, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Lenovo LeTV – Smart TV
Lenovo has just entered the tablet and smartphone market with new LePhone and LePad products, so a TV would obviously be named LeTV – and it will in 2012.

Lenovo’s HTPC remote control
Lenovo plans to introduce their first TV in Q1 2012. Lenovo’s LeTV will be a Smart TV with internet access, access to Lenovo’s cloud services and access to 200 gigabytes of cloud storage, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
Lenovo is obviously trying to create their own eco system to compete with Apple, Google and the likes. The LeTV is a piece in that puzzle and will be capable of sharing content with the other LeProducts.
No further details have been provided but we will keep you updated in 2012.
