Panasonic's media app for iOS & Android

We recently introduced the complete Panasonic 2012 TV line-up and today we want to show you Panasonic’s new media app for iOS & Android. The app introduces pull and push for media content.

Media app for iOS & Android

Panasonic’s two new plasma and LED flagship models, VT50 and WT50, will come with dual-core processors that enables a range of new functions in the remote app – besides basic remote control functions.

One of the new additions is the option to push media content such as video, pictures and music from a smartphone or tablet onto the TV by ”swiping” up on the touch-screen. This even works for webpages that can be navigated via the touch screen on the smartphone after they have been swiped to the TV.

But it also works the other way around. Users can now ”pull” TV-channels, recorded shows from the USB HDD and more from the TV onto the smartphone/tablet screen. You can even start watching a TV channel on your smartphone and then turn of the TV screen. All these functions obviously require the two devices to be on the same network.

The app is called Viera Remote Pro and is supported on the plasma VT50 and LED WT50 TVs. It will be available for iOS and Android. See this video below, made by, for an introduction.
