The new company called Samsung Display will be responsible for all research, development and manufacturing of display panels in the future. The company will also be merged with Samsung Mobile Display that has been responsible for all Samsung's OLED operations.

It is not exactly clear what the new Samsung Display company will change for Samsung’s loss-making LCD business but we already know that Samsung will focus on OLED display technology in the years to come. Samsung also says that the new Samsung Display is the world’s largest display manufacturer.

The new official site for Samsung Display is www.samsungdisplay.com.
