According to Digitimes and industry sources, Philips is likely to reveal an OLED-TV at <a href=ifa2012.php><b>IFA 2012</b></a> in September. The OLED panels will be sourced from LG.Display’s OLED production.<br /><br /><h3>Philips to unveil an OLED-TVs at IFA?</h3>The rumor started back in February 2012, and has now be reiterated by Digitimes based on claims by industry sources. According to the sources, TPV Technology that recently <a href=http://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1333375059><b>took over the Philips TV brand</b></a> will showcase an OLED-TV at IFA 2012 in Berlin.<br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/philips80002012-2l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/philips80002012-2.jpg" alt="Philips new 8000 TV " title="Click to enlarge" /></a><br><i>Philips is likely to exhibit an OLED-TV at IFA 2012, according to sources. Here you see Philips’ new 8000 LCD-TV</i></p><br />In February, 2013 was mentioned as a possible launch window, and even though Digitimes’ report is unable to confirm this, it says that Philips will “showcase” (and not launch) the OLED-TV at IFA 2012.<br /><br />The OLED-TV will reportedly use LG.Display’s OLED panels that are based on white OLED pixels with color filters.
