Panasonic’s new high-end plasma TVs, GT50 and VT50, have started shipping out to customers in the US and Europe. The two plasma TVs also come with the new Smart TV platform powered by a dual-core processor.
GT50 and VT50 in stores
Panasonic’s 2012 TVs started to ship out to customers in March, and the high-end plasma TVs are now also becoming available.
VT50 is the new flagship and comes with the newly-developed Infinite Black Ultra panel, as well as the new 2500 FFD (focused field drive) picture system. Panasonic also mentions an updated Smart TV platform with dual-core processor, and active 3D technology.
GT50 is the step-down model from VT50. It comes with the Infinite Black PRO panel and without the louver filter found in VT50. Besides that it comes with the same 3D capabilities and Smart TV functionality.
