A few new details were also added. AirPlay Mirroring will work for everything and you can always duplicate your desktop onto the TV screen. AirPlay music streaming has been integrated in iTunes on Mac/PC for many years but now support for video and games is also coming.

This means that you can stream video wirelessly from a Mac onto the TV screen, regardless of the video source. You can use internet video streams and locally stored files. AirPlay Mirroring will also work in games and 1080p resolution is supported if you own the new Apple TV (1080p).

Owners of 2011 Mac computers will also be able to use AirPlay Mirroring without being connected to a home network. The Mac and the Apple TV box can create a direct (ad hoc) network, thus allowing you to use the function even outside your home or office.

AirPlay is also available on all Apple iOS devices and AirPlay Mirroring is available in iPgone 4S, iPad 2 and iPad 3.
