Sharp has introduced a new European 60-inch TV model that comes with 2D and 3D capabilities and a brushed aluminum design.<br /><br /><h3>Sharp’s new 60-inch TV</H3>Sharp calls it one of their best 60-inch TV to date, and amongst the highlights we find a 400 Hz system, Quattron LCD panel and edge LED backlighting.<br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/sharp60alu-1l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/sharp60alu-1.jpg" alt="Sharp’s new 60-inch TV with brushed aluminum design" title="Click to enlarge" /></a><br><i>Sharp’s new 60-inch TV with brushed aluminum design</i></p><br />The new 60-inch TV comes in a sleek, brushed aluminum design with a swivel base. Despite the large format, the TV only consumes 87 W in use and has an A+ energy rating. One of the reasons is the FRED driving system that allows Sharp to cut down on the required driving components for each pixel, and reach a higher brightness level at lower power consumption levels.<br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/sharp60alu-2l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/sharp60alu-2.jpg" alt="Sharp’s new 60-inch TV with brushed aluminum design" title="Click to enlarge" /></a><br><i>Sharp’s new 60-inch TV with brushed aluminum design</i></p><br />Sharp’s TV can show both 2D and 3D. In addition, Sharp mentions recording functionality (TimeShift+) and access to internet services via the AQUOS NET+ platform.<br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/sharp60alu-3l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/sharp60alu-3.jpg" alt="Sharp’s new 60-inch TV with brushed aluminum design" title="Click to enlarge" /></a><br><i>Sharp’s new 60-inch TV with brushed aluminum design</i></p><br />Sharp calls the TV either LC-60LE840, 841E or LE843E, depending on the region. It will be available in most European market very soon.
