Panasonic has long had exclusive rights for Avatar in 3D that has been used to promote their 3D products. The exclusive deal ends soon and Avatar will be released in stores on 3D Blu-Ray in October.

Only Panasonic customers who have bought a 3DTV or a 3D Blu-ray player have had the opportunity to experience the 3D movie that ignited the 3D industry in their living room - but no longer. Panasonic’s exclusive deal is almost over.

Avatar will be released on 3D Blu-ray in Europe on October 15 and in the US on October 16. We have not heard anything about additional content on the Blu-ray version.

Avatar has taken in more than 2.7 billion USD and is the bestselling Blu-ray movie ever, despite the fact that no 3D version has been on the market so far.
