LG's 3 OLED TV models – price is 9000 Euro

LG once again exhibited their OLED-TV which was first announced at CES in January. The OLED-TV launch is nearing. LG plans to release 3 models later this year. The price is around 9000 Euro.

Samsung declined to comment on release dates and pricing details but LG’s 55” OLED-TV is closer to launch than ever. The many print ads inside at IFA and outside in Berlin city also seemed to confirm that LG is moving forward with the schedule.

LG’s OLED-TV will be available in three variants; one with a floor stand (inputs located in the stand), one with a table stand (inputs in the stand) and one with a media box (called Invisible Connection) where all inputs can be connected directly to the media box. The media box connects to the TV via one single fiber cable. A power cable to the TV is also required.

Compared to CES we did not notice many differences. The OLED-TV is still extremely slim and impressive. This time LG also demonstrated the 3D functionality that is based on passive 3D technology. It looked great.

LG says that the OLED-TV will be available to buy before year’s end. It will cost approximately 9000 Euro.
