<a href=http://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1351509281><b>Dell</b></a> and <a href=http://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1350555939><b>Acer</b></a> already unveiled their Windows 8-focused multi-touch monitors – but LG has one, too. The 23-inch LG Touch 10 monitor uses an IPS panel with 10-point capacitive touch technology.<br /><br /><h3>LG Touch 10</h3>Windows 8 and touch belongs in the same sentence and multi-touch PC monitors are right now being pushed out in large quantities. The latest is from LG and is called Touch 10 (model ET83).<br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/lgtouch10-1l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/lgtouch10-1.jpg" alt="LG Touch 10" title="Click to enlarge" /></a><br><i>LG’s new Touch 10 monitor is optimized for Windows 8</i></p><br />Instead of using inferior infrared touch technology, LG uses capacitive touch technology just like on the latest smartphones and tablets. The capacitive touch technology allows up to 10 simultaneous touch points, and thus enables zooming, scrolling, rotating and many other gestures. LG also mentions capacitive stylus support but the pen has to be bought separately.<br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/lgtouch10-2l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/lgtouch10-2.jpg" alt="LG Touch 10" title="Click to enlarge" /></a><br><i>LG’s new Touch 10 monitor is optimized for Windows 8</i></p><br />However, LG’s monitors do not seem to have a tilt function that allows users to tilt into table orientation position so we expect tired arms after some hours of operation.<br /><br />The 23-inch monitor uses a quality IPS panel and likely the same as used in <a href=http://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1351509281><b>Dell</b></a> and <a href=http://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1350555939><b>Acer’s</b></a> monitors. IPS panels offer wide viewing angles and natural color reproduction.<br /><br />LG’s Touch 10 monitor will become available in Korea next month and expand into Europa and USA shortly after.
