Microsoft has plans to enter the TV industry. It has been revealed that Microsoft is working on a "Cloud TV platform", which could be either a streaming service or a complete TV platform that will let other companies develop apps.

Microsoft working on Cloud TV platform
Microsoft is hoping to take over your living room and the Xbox 360 has recently turned into more than just a game console. It is now reported that Microsoft is also working on a Cloud TV platform that could be integrated into the Xbox platform as well as smartphones and tablets.

Microsoft recently added new streaming service to the Xbox 360

Microsoft is currently hiring and the job applications reveal that Microsoft is looking for developers to develop apps for Apple iOS, Google Android, Windows and browsers. Nothing is mentioned about the Xbox 360 but this is probably just because Microsoft has a complete Xbox developer team already.

Not many details are known at this point but it seems that work is underway. We will keep our eyes and ears open.

Microsoft recently introduced a range of streaming services on the Xbox 360.
